Prohibition Infotainment About Gossip
Fatwa about the prohibition
infotainment had been issued by many parties, including MUI, PBNU, and
ministers of religion. In fact, in the Qur'an has explained about the
prohibition on backbiting (ghibah).
However, the person associated
with this work did not remain silent. They show evidence of their existence
with the artist's own fame. And even, the celebrities also spoke about the
rejection of Prohibition gossip.
MUI Chairman stated that the
infotainment show that contains the backbiting (which is not really news) is
forbidden. However, when talking about positive things like the success of the
husband and wife maintain domestic harmony, it can still be justified. MUI also
opens the opportunity to discuss this decision with the minister of religion, PBNU,
and the workers infotainment.
PBNU also requested that the

any complaint, expected to be preceded by a letter of protest to the press
council, and instead issued a fatwa.
