THE DAY WE WAITED FOR

A young man arrived at bus terminal. His name was Muhammad Rizal. In Surabaya, Rizal was a student. Now he was in for a month course at a Dormitory English Course.

In the middle of afternoon, a Pedicab stopped in front of building of DEC. Rizal paid the pedicab and went inside. Until DEC, he went to receptionist and asked the director office.

He went to director office. “Good afternoon,” said Rizal.

“My name’s Muhammad Rizal.” The secretary smile at him. “Welcome to Lamongan,” he said. “I will take you to the director.”

The director was an older man with a friendly face and calm. He told Rizal about the school and about his classes. Then he said, “now Zal you will live in the boarding house with Mr. and Mrs. Suyuti.

Their house is near the school. The school was beside boarding house. Emm,,, here’s Adam. He is from Bojonegoro. He also lives with Mr. and Mrs. Suyuti. They will take you to their boarding house. Adam, this is Rizal.

Hi … Zal, said Adam. “Come with me, and I will take you to the boarding house.”

That evening, after supper, Rizal and Adam were talking. ‘Why did you choose this place, Zal? Asked Rizal. I though it’s a good school and I ever hear the teacher here was nice.

By the way, ‘what did you do at the evening Dam?,’ Asked Rizal. In the evening, ‘I always reading holly Qur’an and review my lesson.’

Well, ‘sometime I do my homework.’ And sometime, ‘I went to square with my friends.’

But on Thursday I usually go to mosque to study about religion. Do you want join us? Asked Adam. ‘yes, said Rizal.

 ‘Thanks very much.’ But on Thursday Adam can’t join because he must go home.

That evening, Rizal went in the mosque by himself. On there he felt lonely coz no one that he knew. When he went to the boarding house, he met Sheila.

Until boarding house, he was talking with Adam.

“Do you know? I met a girl? What is her name? I met her when I will go home?” asked Rizal.

I am sorry I do not know which whom you talk.

 ‘One by one Zal’, said Adam. Ok … I was here from society.

She was sylvan village here. She was cute, beautiful, and cleaver girl.

‘Did you fall in love with her Zal?’ said Adam. I do not know what I feel Dam.

Apparently, ‘Rizal fell in love at first sight with her’, said Adam in his heard.

After the first meeting, Rizal always notices her ability. Days alternately days without he realize she loved Rizal too. But she did not know what was boys name.

Then she asked her friend, ‘do you know what is the boys name?. Her friend has name Shiva, ‘oh,, I knew his name is Rizal,’ answer Shiva.’

He was Adams’ friend.

Ok thank you Va.

 Two week then, they met in the mosque. She smiled at Rizal. He was very happy. Even they mutually love but they were not relationship.

However, they were not relationship. They usually study together.

As Sheila knew, he was master of informatics and technology (IT) but Sheila did not know yet about IT.

So, Rizal gave explain to her about IT. Because she was cleaver, she caught all Rizal explained.

In the other day, they taught in one of mosque in her village.

Her society knew that Rizal taught there with Sheila, but one of boy at that village did not like if Sheila near with Rizal.

but it all was not ascendant on their togetherness.

It was the last day of the dormitory English course. Rizal was very sad. He was saying goodbye to all his friends and all of society there.

‘Goodbye, all.’

‘Goodbye, Zal. You must come to Lamongan and visit us soon.’

He said in his heard, ‘I don’t want back to Bojonegoro.’ He looked Sheila, “she was crying.”

Rizal draw near Sheila. He said, ‘don’t cry s Il.’ She cannot say anything. She was so sad.

Rizal said, ‘don’t sad she.’ I will here other day. ‘Really’, said Sheila. Yes of course. ‘I want to go home now’, said Rizal. ‘Be careful Il!’, Said Rizal.

One week then, he visited her. Hi,,, Il.

‘How are you’, I am fine Zal.

How about you Zal, I am fine too. ‘Il, I’m here just few hours’, said Rizal. Why?

Now, I have many duties Il.

‘It’s ok. Nice!’, said Sheila.

 After a view month, he did not any report. She was very sad, but her parents did not know why their child sad. Her mother said, ‘why are you sad dear?’ ‘I don’t know mom’, said Sheila. ‘You must spirit dear, you must continue your study, yes mom.

 Thank you, my beloved mom.

Then she tried to forget all about him. Sheila continued her study.  

She got many friends there. Her friend was very kind with her. That morning, ‘I take a work in the yard of school.’ There she looked a handsome boy but she did not know, what was his name?

sounded entering bell, she come in to class with her friend her name Luna. ‘Eh Il, today in our class there is new student’, said Luna. “Really?” yes.

Suddenly the teacher came with a new student. ‘Lhooo… that is a boy saw by me, isn’t it?,’ said Sheila.

The teacher said, ‘all of my student it is our new friend.’ ‘Albert introduce yourself!, said the teacher. Yes sir thank you.

He was introducing himself. ‘Ok guys, ‘introduce myself, my name Albert, You can call me Al, I am from senior high school one Jombang.

Ok thanks for your attention.’

Albert making for its seat. Bell rest was sound, Sheila and Luna went to canteen. In the canteen, she met Albert.

Day after day time past a way, and now the date has stepped on fifth of June.  Momentarily, ‘I will birthday’, said Sheila.

So, ‘my age matter increase a year.’ But ‘I still as like this.’

‘I want to become mature person and as everybody peer but maybe that just dream only for me’, said my heard.

‘The day that I have waited so, arriving too.

‘All of my friends in the school was giving utterance to me is not remainder Albert gave me utterance too’ said her.

 ‘He gives me utterance at the first time for me,’

Latterly she closed to Albert, ‘my closeness with him make jealous all of my friends,’ said her.

Her friends were jealous with her because she can close with Albert that good looking, diligent and cool.

Homewards as school as always she wait autobus at halt.

Today ‘I am alone because Luna was getting sick,’

‘ in my planning I want to visit her today,     

Suddenly a car beside me, apparently  the driver is Albert.        

‘where are you Il?,’ said Albert.

‘I want to visit Luna,’ answered Sheila.

‘May I join?

 Pardon???

Are you really you want joint me?

Yes, why not?

It’s ok,

Let’s go….!!!!!!!!!!!

Until Luna’s home, she was did not at home.

 So, we did not visit her yet.

Then, ‘Albert accompanies me go home.’

On the way we chat a lot “Il, I want to ask you”

“What about?”

“did you ever fall in love?”

“Fell in love?

Yes, I ever fall in love but,,,,”

“but why?”

“emmmm,,,,,, I don’t want to remember it Al”

“Il,,, do you know, I … I … I do love you Il” 

“Really,,,???

She thought a moment.

“What wrong with you, why are you silent?, said Albert.

“No, (she Smile to Albert)

“Emm,, I want, this our relationship more than friend”

“What do you mind?”

“I want you become my lover”

“What ,,,, lover?”

“yes,,,”

“Sorry Al,,, I ,, I ”

“I know your answer Il, you can’t, can you?”

“Sorry Al, I can’t forget about my last love”

“It’s ok, I understand Il”

“Do you know Al, that comradeship is more everlasting instead than romance.

“hemmm…. I know Il, for replacement it tomorrow in my house yach,,”

“In your home?”

“yes,,, because for tomorrow in my house there is a party”

“party?”

“yes, Il, tomorrow my birthday”

Tomorrow was Albert birthday all of his friend and family will be invited. The party will do in the Albert’s house.

its event was very gay. Rizal also comes on Albert's birthday event. Sheila really surprises. without she knows Rizal apparently its first cousin Albert.

Albert approach Rizal, “Zal I want to introducing you with my friend”

“really????

"come here!!!

Rizal and Albert talk a work approach Sheila.

“Il” Albert call me,   I around my body.

“Il, introduce this is Rizal, he is my cousin”, I see Rizal was confusing, I think he was shock when see me here, I ostensibly unacquainted.’

“Hi… my name Sheila.”

“Albert come here moment”, said his mother.

“Moment”, said Albert.

“Ok”.

“eh,,,, Il,”

“yes,,,

 “I don’t suspect we can met here Il”

“it’s ok never mind, maybe it’s the time.

Suddenly Albert came, “what about you talk?”

“About me, isn’t it?”

“No… no…”

“Isn’t it?”

“Emmm…..”

“I see you are alter ago”

“really????”

“He’e”

finally the time for intercept cake gets in also. One of Albert’s friend ask to Albert.

“Zal, the special cake for whom?”

 “next you will be known by yourself”.

After the cake was intercept. The cake was given by Albert to Sheila.

“all of our friends didn’t suspects if that cake will be given to me”

“Il, I want to ask you once again, you want to be my girl friend?”

‘I was very confuse”

“What must I do?”

“I become falter when I see Rizal, I know he still love me but now I love Albert and Albert love me too.” But “I don’t dare with Rizal.”

“All of friend ask me to accept him.”

“I see Rizal smile to me but I know his smile not from his best devout heart. “

 “I see he was so sad”

  “Il, I ask once again, what your answer”

“I can’t Al’, I can’t refuse you”

“All shout of friends make our strained situation solve.”

“I see Rizal run a way, I follow him, I don’t know Albert follow me too.”

“I see Rizal was crying and sitting on the chair.”

“Zal I’m so sorry,” said Sheila.    

“You are self to me Il,” said Rizal.

“Long this time I look for you and wait for you but,,,,,

What you do for me?”

“I’m sorry zal I don’t know about that, you never give information, and you never call me.”

 “I’m confused to Zal. I ever sick because of you Zal.”

“You never know about that all.”

“my mother confuse because of my habit just silent after you go Zal,’ said Sheila.

“I’m sorry Il, I don’t here that!”

Albert have listened all and have known about all. Then Albert closed us.

“I’m sorry Zal, IL, I have known about all”.

“I’m sorry to you I didn’t hear that”

“Ehm,,, Zal, Al, I will living, I’ll want to go home.”

 “I want to quiet self momentary if I have calm I want to converse with you,’ said Sheila.

“I was very confused”

“I don’t know what will I do?”

“I ask my mom, and my mom gave me many solutions”

Day after day time past a way.

“I feel better than yesterday”

“I want to converse with them”

She has been called them by mobile phone. She want met them.

They met in the café and she made converse with them.

“I apologize to you al, after I thought  for now friendship is better than fiancée. I don't want to wreck your brotherhood. I don't want if because of me both of you become enemy.”

“Once again I apologize to you,” said her.

She was crying.

“Il, don’t cry, you clean hand, said Rizal.”

“This is my incorrectly, I came not on right time, said him.

“I apologize to you, for now I want to go”

“don’t say like that Zal,’ said Albert.

“really what Sheila say, close friend and brotherhood is better than enemy.”

Thank you al.

Hmm…

In the end they become close friend. And no enemy between us.
