LOVE

Kring.... kring.... the bell rang.It was time to go home. Henry left the class. He was walking home alone from school. He felt, the sunshine was very hot. It seemed to burn his body and soul. He wore a hat, but it was not enough to protect his head from the hot of the sun.But,he did not care too much about it because they were many other things he had to care of more than just the sunshine.

As he walked turning left to the direction of his home. He saw a crowd of people. What on earth is going on? he asked himself. Then, he drew near to them because he was interested in knowing what was happening. When he got closer to them, he saw a young lady lying down on the street. She was still wearing the uniform.She was pale but her right hand was bleeding. Someone told him that she was hit by motorcycle. But the man who hit the young woman ran away.

Nobody did anything except ask one another what to do. They had tried to get help by stopping some cars that passed by but the drivers did not care. Unfortunately, there was no “public phone” close at hand. So, they could not call for the police or ambulance to come.

Knowing that she needed somebody’s help. He ran and stood up in the middle of the street just to stop a car. And then, a car stopped, the driver got out and shouting. The driver said, “Are you crazy stopping my car in such a way?”.

Thanks to God, after being given an explanation, he understood what to do, and he took Henry and the lady to the hospital nearby.

After arriving at the hospital, she was immediately checked by a doctor. Thanks to God, she is not serious condition. A few days in the hospital,she was allowed to go home. But she still needs to rest.

Well, it was the beginning of his relationship with her, he mean the lady. She is very pretty with bright black eyes, and he called her Nancy. 

Henry went to visit her one week after she recovered and went home from the hospital. She thanked Henry for what he had done and Henry said it was OK.

At that time he began to like her because she was an open hearted lady. She was a woman who is quiet and gentle. She told Henry everything about her family and so did Henry.

They are just like best friends who had known each other for a long time. Day after day they spent together, just taking a walk or seeing a movie.They would be together in happy and sad time.

“you know something?” one day Henry asked Nancy, “ I like talking with you ”.

She looked Henry and there was a flush of red on her face. “Thanks”, she said.

“So, why don’t you tell me about  your boyfriend? ”, Henry asked her again.

She replied, “ I don’t have a boyfriend”, she shook her head. “You don’t have or you have not got one?”. “It does not make any differences, he think”.

Then, they kept quite for a while, but Henry was very surprised when he saw the tears rolling down on her face. “Nancy, are you all right?what is the matter with you?”. Henry asked her. “Nothing,  I’m just fine”. she said.

Henry asked again, “You’d better tell me honestly if you have a problem”. “Thanks”, she said. It is not important anyway.

Henry said, “To me .... yes, it is. I’m your best friend, aren’t I?”. She replied, “You are, but you won’t understand my feeling if I tell you”. “I promise you I will”, Henry told her. So, tell me, will you?

The next moment, she told Henry about her past, about a lady who was left by the guy she loved. It was such a sad story that Henryfelt affected. Once, it had happened to Henry when his girlfriend left him, but he was not so sad.

However, it was just the past, it happened to almost everybody.Nancy said, “That pain which made me not want to know anything relating about love. I don’t wanna lose it for the second time when I still can feel it. A few years ago, we promised that we would be together in happy and sad time”.

“It is all right Nancy. I can understand what you feel”, Henry told her later. “How can you say that?”, she asked Henry.

“It also happened to me, but I’m not sad anymore. Life isn’t long and we have to spend it as well as possible. We have to throw the sadnees away and look for happiness. We must try to be the best for others”. Henry replied. He tried to give her a smile. Henry is an understanding man. He understood whatNancy  felt.

“It is not what I have told you that makes me sad”, she said again. Henry did not understand why she said that. In fact, she was crying about her memory before, but then she said to Henry that her sadness was not caused by it. What a confusing thing!.

“So what is it actually that makes you cry?”. He kept asking her. “Next time”, she said shortly. “What do you mean, next time?”, she looked at Henry.

He shook his head and said, “I still don’t understand what you mean Nancy?”. “Should I tell you frankly?”, she asked. “Of course!”. He said. So she told Henry everything about her problem.

“Well, in my whole life, I never had a friend. I mean a real friend to whom I can show and tell my feelings, and I am not able to go on living like that, I need a friend. Now, I have got one, it is you. But I am afraid some day we will separate just like my boyfriend left me”. She said.

His heart seemed to beat harder hearing what she said, but hedid not know what to do. It was the first time for me to hear such an honest lady telling what she felt. “Do you understand now, why I am sad?”. She asked Henry.

“Yes Nancy. However, I’d like to thank you for that, I just don’t know what to say to you”, he told her.

She said, “You don’t need to say anything. What you have to do is just promise me that you will be my best friend forever. Will you?”. “Certainly, Nancy. Your best friend, now and forever”. He replied.

She smiled at Henry very nicely, took his hands in hers, and whispered, “thank you very much my dear best friend”.

After that, Henry gave his telephone number to Nancy, so did Nancy. He said, “if you have a problem,you should talk to me”. “thank you very much Henry”. She ask.

Nancy and Henry studied in same school, but they were on different grade. Nancy was still on the first class, while Henry was on the second class. Henry’s house was near with Nancy’s house. So, they went to school together.

On a sunny morning, the birds in the trees behind the Nancy’s house singing to each other, Nancy awakens the still sleeping. Time showed at 06.00 am. He immediately headed for the bathroom.

Every morning, there was a friend that waiting him in front of the house. He is Henry. Henry was her best friend, he always accompanies and comforts her when she was sad, and he always helped her when she is had a problem.

On a day when at rest, they were to the cafeteria together. They look like people who are dating. Not long after, the bell rang. They walked into their own class.

Nancy had a friend named Mark. Mark is a handsome student in his class. He was known to have a trendy style than the other students. Its appearance is very different from the male students who the other. But, Mark has a cocky character.

Nancy had never felt or thought that there were classmates who liked it. Mark his name. He had always liked Nancy. But he did not dare to express his feelings. Nancy knew it from his friend. Many women who lovedMark because of his handsome.

After coming back school, Henry and Nancy played together. They played in the river. Day after day, they were living together. Henry and Nancy became closer. Nancy turned out really cool person to talk to. She had broad knowledge and smart. Even, Henry do not know, but she knows. Henry knew him longer, more comfortable there beside him. Every near Nancy, Henry felt it had close to her.

At one point, Henry felt different when he met with Nancy. Henry was not aware that he had a sense that it is the love of the Nancy.

Day after day passed with great Henry said. He always asked himself  "why I felt I love at Nancy?". The next day, he had understood sense of that, was a sense of falling in love with his best friend. Finally, Henry  fell in love with Nancy. But Henry was not one like it.

It was Sunday. Henry took Nancy watching a movie. Nancy liked watching a horror movie. It was at the cinema was in turn a horror movie. Nancy was very happy. After that, Nancy and Henry went to the riverbank.

The river is the place to eliminate fatigue. There, the air is very cool. Later, Henry ventured to express his feelings. “Nancy, I want to tell you something".

 Terry asked. “what do you want to tell me?". Nancy replied. “Maybe this is not important for you, but it's important for me ".

“Yes, let me know". Nancy said. “My heart rate was different this time, faster than the frequency as usual. What happens at me?.  My heartbeat quickly over time whenI meet with you". He asked again.

“I don’t understand what you are talking about". Nancy said. “Ehmmmmm,,,,,, I love you, I do not know why this happens. From first glance, I like you and you bring a positive aura for me”. Terry replied.

“Ah,,,, that is impossible” Nancy said. Whatever you believe it or not, but I really like you. "Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked again.

Nancy surprised to hear the sentence by sentence he spoke. He soon stopped thinking about the words of Henry. She said, "Actually, I want to be your girlfriend, but I'm not ready for this soon.  I can’t answer it now". “Why?", Henry asked.

Nancy replied, “Yes, it's too quick for me to answer it.” “ ehmmm,,, Please give me a week to think about it” She added.

Henry asked again, “Yes already, it's okay".  “Are you afraid of being hurt?".  “Not that I'm just afraid of disappointment as my boyfriend had betrayed me. "Nancy said while crying.

He asked, “I'm sorry, I promise I will never make you disappointed. I will always make you become the best. Because I love you so much". "Thank you Henry." Nancy, wiping her eyes. She admired that he had dared to express his feelings”.

Love takes courage. Courage to say and the courage to take all the bad risks will happen. Then, they went to go home. Henry took Nancy gohome. Nancy came into her house and took a rest while. She was thingking of Henry. she said to herself, “I'm confused, why does it happen? Why does my best friend like me?”

A few minutes later, her handphone rang. Apparently, there was a message from Henry. Henry said, "I'm sorry Nancy because I had talked sassy and irreverent like that. But it is honestly from the deepest of my heart. it's up to you whether like, hate or angry to me, I'm ready to accept it all. maybe it was a mistake that could not be forgiven. Immediately Nancy answered. Nancy said,” it's okay Henry, I understand what you feel.”

Time passed away. Nancy was confused over the answer. Several days after Henry expressed his feelings to Nancy. Nancy had not got an answer. But in his heart to say that she loved Henry. But, she is not sure of her feelings. It is not possible. He is her best friend.

When a break, Mark took Nancy go to the school garden. There, Mark revealed his feelings to Nancy. Mark loved Nancy. She was very confused, why there were two men who love me? She must chose one of them. But, she also did not want to hurt his feelings.

Nancy spoke in his heart, “I do not want to hurt myself,” Frankly, I do not like the Mark, but I like Henry. Henry is very good for me and he often helped me. I do not want to hurt her. Henry is a friend who is always there for me when I'm happy and sad.”

One week passed quickly. Nancy wanted to answer the question of Henry. He decided to invite Henry and Mark met on the riverbank. Dag... dig... dug... the frequency of Nancy’s heart beat was getting irregular.

Eventually, they came to him. They arrived on time. Henry was surprised to see that there are Mark on the edge of the river and so did Mark. Previously, Henry did not know that Mark likedNancy.

Nancy said,” I will reveal to you about my feeling. Before that, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I will choose one of you. ehmmmm,,,,,  Actually, I loved Henry. I don’t want to hurt my own feelings. I'm sorry Mark, I can’t accept you.”“Mark replied, yes it is okay. It is best for you.”

Henry was very surprised to hear the answer Nancy. Henry immediately say, “thank you Nancy you want to receive my love.” He was very happy to hear Nancy’s feeling. Then, Henry hugged Nancy.

Then, Mark congratulates to Henry and Nancy. Mark said, “congratulations you may be a couple". They answered, “thank you mark". Mark really disappointed with Nancy. But he was not angry with Nancy. Now Nancy and mark became friends.Henry and Nancy were a true partner.

Henry invited Nancy to dinner somewhere. Henry said,” your laughing and joking is the coloring in my life, I do not want it all goes so fast”.“Thank you Henry. During this same time I am your good sense. I shall not fail.” Nancy replied.

Later, Henry held out his little finger. Nancy very confused what he to do. Then,  Henry says, “this is a symbol of our promise that we will never share your heart with others, both girls or boys.”

Nancy said to her self, “I understood”. Then, she also held his little finger , until  theirlittle finger long joint together.Their were mutual eye contact, taking turns sentence by sentence to say that we should not deny. after that, they took off our little finger while smiling each other.

Eventuallytheybecamethehappiestcouplein their life. They wouldkeeptheir loveandthey would be a harmony couple. Thatlovewouldmakethemaccept what areeach other.

Try revealing your feelings if you want to find the true meaning of love. Love is beautiful if two beings to love each other with heart sincerity. Love is beautiful if we give a support each other. Love is beautiful if we can complete each other.
