The True Friend

 Andy and Digi were studying in SMU 1 TULUNGAGUNG. They were friends since when they were studying in Junior High School and when they were studying in Senior High School, they also together again. At school, they were always together. When Andy got a trouble, Digi always helps me. So does Andy. Everyone said that a friend always exist in comfort and pain. They complete each other and received each lack. Andy is a rich man. He is a son of a car showroom owner. He has a sweet-faced like Digi. But Digi isn't as rich as Andy. He is the son of a supermarket security guard.   When his father discharged, Andy requests his father to give a job for Digi’s father as a security guard. Both Andy and Digi love their family so much. They have different characters. Andy is selfish and grudger, whereas Digi is forgiver and friendly. Their characteristics are different very different. It is strange for them can make a good friendship. The reason they are friend just can be answered by them.

One day, when someone leaked Digi’s motorcycle tires, Andy responded that incident and tried to seek the criminal. But Digi prohibited him. Andy was quietly investigating and found the culprit, it turns out the culprit is Bimo

. He is their classmate. Bimo was jealous to Digi. He was jealous with the closeness of Digi with Lucy. Without long thinking, Andy beat Bimo.

"What the hell is the punch you have come," Bimo sneered, wiping his bloody lip.

"You are a coward. I know you are leaking his tire motorcycle?" Andy said

The motorcycle was new on the porch.  Digi was surprised about it. He came into the house and called his mother. His mother who had been in the kitchen came up to her eldest son.

"Mom, whose motorcycle is it?" Digi asked to his mother.

"Oh, that motorcycle on the porch, it is your motorcycle from Andy. i'm also confused why Andy is so kind to you?" His mother said.

After hearing her mother, Digi called Andy. He asked about this. In a lengthy conversation, Andy did not want Digi to refuse his present. If he refused it, the friendship would end. Hearing this, he was relented and accepted his gift. In Digi’s heart, there is a blob that stifling burden. Digi did not feel happy when he was given something by Andy. Otherwise, he felt like a man that looked for an opportunity on the Andy's prosperity. He understood that andy's family don't mind it, but how about Andy's friend at school.  Many people scoffed them. They also said that Digi only exploited Andy, reverse also. The point of their friendship is a fake. They are just friends to meet their individual needs. Andy wants to be friends with Digi because he's a smart boy who can cheat in the exam and who can be a lackey to do all his homework, while Digi can ask all the needs of material by applying to Andy. Although it was only a rumor, Digi widened not preferably in Andy, he has ever told Andy about this problem. Andy didn't care. He just said "ah, never mind, they were just jealous of our friendship. They don't know how long this friendship us intertwine."

Anything which Andy said was correct. They are the only people who have friendship, so just they who can feel it. Other people only judge from what they see. After some input and opinions are given Andy, Digi began to move forward confidently with the friendship of his life.  He was woven together with Andy. He also requested that Andy can hold his wish if something bad happened. Andy agreed about it.

Time was running out, several months again is time for having examination to get the next grade, second grade. Digi and Andy wanted to have a same major. Andy wanted to continue his father's career. Digi likes the social studies. He is very good grades in report cards, moreover, Andy always forced Digi to enter the social studies so that they can keep together.

Digi and Andy are not left behind in matters of love. Due to love of a girl, their friendship which has long been intertwined cracked.

The story begins when Andy likes a girl at school and classmate with Digi, Andy isn't the same class with Digi right now. A girl who they like is Lucy. She was beautiful and graceful. Her body is slim, active in the arts and friendly to everyone. She is the captain of the school cheers. Not only is it that makes Andy falls in love with Lucy. She had helped Andy when he almost fell on the slippery stairs accidentally. Lucy pulled his arm to keep from falling, that's the moment when their eyes are clashing, as the story of the prince who pulled princes who was about to go away, but when it's upside down. Andy is telling that Digi. He likes Lucy but he hasn't dared to express his feelings to her hero. Digi hears a statement from his friend if he likes Lucy.  Digi was shocked and downcast.  He likes the same girl since he was in first class. He was like a  petals scattered with the wind blowing like a hurricane, and  bitter to the feel, so hard to understand, how can't he possibly compete with the best friend in getting Lucy, he could not betray their friendship which has long their building.

 However Lucy loved Digi too. She hopes Digi will express his love so that Lucy he will be her boyfriend. She loves Digi because He is a gentleman, kind and friendly as well as what it is. She likes a man who appears simple. All of the typical male on the Digi are in Lucy's dream. Then, Lucy may receive one of two men who were friendly. She knows this is a difficult choice after hearing the story Digi, if Andy loves her.

"Digi, I'm just like you and I love you, how could I accept if my heart has been owned by you.". Lucy said to Digi.

"Lu, I'm sorry... I didn’t want to hurt my best friend" Digi said

 "But, you make my heart hurt Dig, you forced me to accept Andy to be my boyfriend." Lucy answered.

"Lu, trust me ......... Andy is the man who can make your day colorful. . hehe ",  Digi babbled . Though the heart he hoped that Lucy is a girl in God destined for him.

"It's ok,,,, I never would have thought, you're like this, well if it is want yours, and I hate you now." Lucy sas, standing up and left the Digi is still glued to regret what he said.

A week has passed, and now officially dating Andy and Lucy. Andy finally declared his love for Lucy, of course, the help by Digi. In the hearts of Digi, he did not know why this mixed feeling of happiness and sadness. Happy because his friend could find love during the time, but on the other he was very sad, it was like a sharp knife which cut his heart, because girlfriend of Andy is a girl love him very much.

Andy enjoyed his relationship with Lucy. They are always together even more now Andy walks together with Lucy compared with Digi. He was such a fuss over his, he knew that his friend was in love and wants to enjoy the world with his girlfriend. But Lucy isn’t fun. Of course the reason Lucy was obvious that wants only Digi, not Andy.

Lucy did not have to know where the confidence, her friend who had accompanied. Her friend had cancer and stayed hospital. Diary book is the only thing which can accompany her to devote all her heart. Anything that she wrote in the book that started her love story is so complicated. The day, Andy felt relationship with Lucy is so tasteless, he feels that Lucy seems n0t interesting with him, move away and always be difficult to understand in her heart. Andy tells about Lucy to Digi. He tells about her attitude of change,

"Ah, maybe just a feeling you once" Digi answered.

"No, I'm sure there are things that make she like this with me."Andy denied

"Never mind, that you trust and mutual understanding, I'm sure, Lucy still loves you "Digi said

 "Yes...I will not let her, I really love her, just tough if she ever changed because there are other men who influenced her, I guarantee he will not be able to smile and laugh again," Andy said , he hands crumple. Digi didn't answer, he was silent while swallowed.

In the night, in a house that is very simple, Digi could not close my eyes, he seems upset, he over his body facing left to right reversal continued and finally his eyes staring at ceiling room. He thought. He still digesting yesterday afternoon talk Andy. Then he got up from his bedroom to the desk, he wanted to write a letter for Lucy.

The next morning, Digi came early because he wanted to a piece of paper tucked in the Lucy table drawer. Not at the thought Andy has stood in front, "What kind of letter do you tuck in the table my girlfriend "Andy Asked, he looked sharp.

"Ooh .. Nothing really," Digi replied so nervous. Andy immediately took the letter and read it. Flushed through the body sweat Digi direct, raging in his heart with remorse and fear, he did not want his friend misunderstood.

"Ooh ... turned out for this man is you, I do not think.. You can this with me. You have betrayed our friendship." Andy Lambasting

"Ndy, listen to me, I do not mean like that. ". Digi Said,  

"You are a coward" Andy punched Digi face to fall on the floor,

 "I have believed you as my brother, but what happen now, you play a special relationship with my girlfriend behind me" says Andy

"Ndy, hear me out". Digi says 

"Bullshit, I do not want to hear you are explanation of sort losers" Andy said.

 "Now I would if I could have why pay full Lucy, we play openly ..." Andy said as he passed left the digi who sat on the floor.

Since the incident, their relationship becomes strained. Andy no longer go near the Digi, this condition is in use by the Bimo, Bimo also do not like Digi, he complained about them.

"Ndy Come on, you are also thinking about doing the traitor, he was not worthy to be your friend, not really know himself after what you've given to him, and he was like that with you .." Bimo said.

"Shut up, I do not need advice from you. You'd better get out of here."Andy denies he put his fist to Bimo.

"Eitss boy ... wait, I'm here at your side, I'm here to tell about the Digi and Lucy, Digi making out with your girlfriend!"Bimo said.

 "What you said! Are you serious," Andy said.

"I'm real, they exist in the school garden now, while so tenderly holding hands," Bimo’s words made Andy’s heart pain.

 The other place, Digi and Lucy were in the garden, they were sitting together, but do not for romantic, he wanted clarify the matter with Andy. Digi requested Lucy to talk with Andy if it’s all just misunderstanding.

"Digi, that's fine, if Andy has been informed, so we do not longer need to pretend in front of him, if it remains in many hearts will continue to hurt." Lucy Said.

"But lu, it's not as easy as you think, we could not have come together over the sadness my best friend." Digi answered.

Andy distance seems to stare at them both, in his eyes, he was very angry and vindictive to his friend.  The school bell rang, all the students rushed out of the classroom. From corridor class, Digi ran to Andy’s class. He looked for Andy. He didn't find him. He asked his classmates named Tasya,

"Sya, where is Andy now?" Digi asked

"Andy was just out of the classroom to the car" Tasya answered.

Digi seems to run rush. He had expected to leave early because Andy did not want to see him. Then he ran to the park quickly. After arriving there, Andy was ready to go, but Digi comes more quickly and prevents it.

"Woy, get out from my way or I will bump you." Andy said angry

"I’ll not get out of the way before you listen to my explanation" Digi said.

"Woy, if you still do not want to step aside, I can bump you." Andy threatened.

"Please, I still do not want to step aside." Digi firmed.

"OK if that's what you WANT." Andy seriously, he harden the sound of his car, and Andy had ready bumped Digi’s body. He was like a bull about to plow all the red colored.

"STOP ... please stop andy" Lucy said as he ran toward the car andy. Lucy came to Andy got startled, as well as Digi, her tears fell upon her red cheeks, tears of frustration that represents the attitude of Andy, how can he act like this, thought Lucy.

"Enough, I'm sick of all this, I hate you." Lucy burst into tears.

 "Huh, why are you so angry? You have betrayed me, playing behind me. "Andy guesses that comes out of his car.

 Digi just could not speak, they clamor to no avail. Until Lucy was not able to hold back and slap Andy, and left them. He was just stunned silence finally went after Lucy. "Lu, stop, we can solve this problem together, do not leave lu." Digi pleaded to Lucy. But Lucy ignored.

Lucy continued to run, the views he does not focus anymore and when she was about to turn, come from the opposite direction the car is braking tension, Lucy can not escape and eventually she was hit and bounced off the guardrail hit her head. Digi shouted loudly, he ran to Lucy who was seriously injured. It was like lightning in the daytime, this incident he never expected. Lucy requested that his lap, Lucy want him to listen to some pieces of word is out, with no clear voice and the breath. Lucy braced herself, he knew her could not be saved, before it's too late,

"Forgive me!! For making your friendships destroyed, what is it wrong if i love you" Lucy said.

It was like leaves that fell down in the spring, and the cloudy sky increased condition which was pathetic. Tears streaming down her cheeks Digi, he was too selfish to force someone that he loves to love someone who did not love.

"Stupid" Digi said in his heart, now what he could ... he had been abandoned by those he loved forever.

He was leave by two people whom he loves. Lucy was dead, while Andy broke friendship with Digi. Andy got hate and resentment with Digi. Andy blamed Digi for the death of Lucy. He could receive if Andy is still angry with him, but when his family brought into their problems, Digi father who did not know, he was confused about the unfriendly attitude of Andy

"Why did you firing me, what is my fault .." Digi's father said who worked as a security guard in his father's company.

"Just ask at your son, he was destroying my heart." Andy said.

"Anything that Digi did against you, forgive him, I'm sure he did not mean to do that. He's a good man, have you been friends with him so long. "Digi's father said.

"No, it was the affairs of life, my girl was dead because him. I can not tolerate anymore, I really hated. "Andy said.

 Digi's father pleaded to kneel at the feet of Andy that he forgave his, but he can not accept, even encourage him to fall Digi's father. Digi is going to see his father worked. He shocked for the behavior of andy against his father.

"Ndy, what the hell, why this our problem invite join my father in this matter" Digi lambasted. Andy ignored him, he immediately left the Digi and his father, but his hand was arrested by Digi.

"Ndy waiting, please, answer the question, why do you hate me so much? Until you treat him like this" Digi asked

"Do not talk sweet in front of me, you hear, I hate you but I also really want to take revenge you, this is just a beginning, see what I would do to reply this pain". Andy said while staring at his eyes, inflamed eyes full of ambition to avenge him. Andy hates Digi.

Friendships that have been running a long time since junior high school until now, ended just as in love with a girl, and because of a misunderstanding. Andy was Intent to destroy life Digi. He is not only a bluff, Andy sent some people to beat up his friend. Of course Andy could not beat Digi with his own hands. When Digi got home from school, he was blocked by some people who wanted to beat him, without compassion, that person is a messenger from Andy, to make the Digi hurt. It turned out that Andy did not stop. He's planning something for Digi’s scholarship. He wanted to revoke it. If it happens, Andy hopes Digi will find it hard to pay for school and eventually he was able to continue school. With the help of Bimo, the plan succeeded, Digi tarnished reputations, he was accused of embezzling cash osis, because of that time he became treasurer general, and Bimo is chairman of osis. Let the petty Ask what they plan to destroy Digi.

Digi and Andy's friendship has ended. That's according to Andy, but not according to Digi, he still expects to be like the old Andy, he is always there for her and love his. Digi always pray to God to Andy forgive him and Andy opened eyes hearts to be Andy who missed it once.

Towards the UAN, many students began to fret and rage, how they can graduate and get good grades, before the test, they get training first. But for the national exam training, all arrears of school fees must be settled immediately. Digi became sad, depleted family’s financials. Her father is now only as a laborer, his mother is now helping with to be washerwoman. But income parents can not help pay his tuition. Digi parents are income just enough to make a living as well as three siblings. He was ashamed of his parents since his scholarship on the pull.

Digi doesn't give up. He was working for money to pay his school fees. When he went home from school, he worked as a milkman to the customer's home. He got this job from his friend. Dani was considerable sympathy for what happened to him.  He worked hard some days. Then he collected. He did it so that he could pay school fees and the rest he gave to his mother to help the family needs.

When Digi and Dani have no class, they went to the library to study together. They met with Andy who walks with Bimo in the school corridor.

"Eh, Digi ex- best friend Andy. Where are you going?" Bimo joked to Digi. Digi stopped and stared at the eyes of Bimo.

"Why do you greet him" Andy said upset.

"Ndy, you do not want your nostalgia with this ex-best friend" Bimo said.

 "Enough, Bim ... there is no such thing as a former friend to me ... I'm Andy remain friends, I do not ever remove Andy from my life" Digi said.

"Sorry, I've not count you as a friend of me ... you and I had ended ... you understand." Andy said as he passed away.

"You hear Dig, you and he ended.... hahayy." Ben said with a laugh to see the sad faces Digi, as he ran after Andy.

"Dig be patient, I'm sure, Andy would regret having done it toward you, a friend who loved so much."  Dani said while entertaining Digi.

In the afternoon, Andy walked in the city park. He saw Digi was riding his old motorcycle, not the motorcycle that Andy’s giving, because that motorcycle was returned when they had a problem. Digi’s motorcycle stopped at Andy’s neighbor's house, Andy saw Digi who carrying several bottles of milk. In his mind, he said,

"He became like this because I hate that out of control." In his heart was very sad. He wanted to go over and hug him, but Andy was very proud and vengeful eyes still on his heart.

After UAN was over and the most beautiful in high school was over, the separation had came, Digi still missed Andy as his best friend rather than someone who considered him as an enemy. Andy was a disaster, his sister was Reiny. Currently suffering from kidney failure, his sister was lying critically injured in hospital. Doctors stated that Reiny required immediate kidney donor, if not she would die. Andy and Andy's parents were upset; they are trying to find a suitable kidney donor for Reiny, because they had to keep Reiny and looked for someone to be kidney donors, Andy's father told the son to take his place while in the company.

"Ndy, please replace the father in the company as this!" father said to Andy.

"Yes dad!" Andy undertakes responsibility from his father's trust in the company.

Andy offers all employees to become a donor kidney. He will give the desired money to the donor's. Some people are interested but none of them are suitable for Reiny. It looks like what he has done things in vain no results. Andy was disappointed. He tried to calm himself in a city park. This place is a favorite spot with Digi before. He is sad, do not feel the tears flooded his cheeks. He did not care about the gaze of passersby in front of him. He did not want to lose a sister who treasured it.

"Ndy, Is it you? Why are you crying?" said Digi, sitting next to Andy.

"It's none of your business, Why you here!, why also sat next to me.". Andy was lambasting and wiping his tears.

"This is our favorite place, I miss you, so I come here and hope to see you, apparently God heard my prayer, I finally get to meet you again "Digi said, smiling sweetly for Andy.

"Not have a lot of talking. Now you choose, you go or I go "snapped Andy as he is not wearing a straight face to look at.

"Ndy, until when you hate me, until when you can forgive me, I could not have forgotten you." Digi said.

"Dig never mind, I have problems. o not make me angry, my sister is sick." Andy said,

"What is your sister's disease?" Digi asked.

"She's sick kidney and needs donor kidney immediately if not...!" Andy said.

"If not why Ndy," Digi asked again. "Reiny otherwise would die, I give your information, get out, I wanted to be alone." Andy said.

"Ndy, I want to be a kidney donor for Reiny." Digi said.

"Sorry, I do not need your help." Andy said. "It was for your sister, i had considered Reiny as my own sister!!! Andy, don't you want her to be fine," Digi said.

 Digi was responsibility while making sure Andy. Because Andy was forced, he approved it. Digi was taking to the hospital where his sister was being maintained. If his kidney is suitable, Digi will become a donor for Reiny and had to have surgery, so Digi will only have one kidney. After undergoing various examinations, doctor explained that the kidney Digi suitable for Reiny. Andy's family was grateful, but the Andy family does not give permission Digi's parents, so that Digi becomes donor Reiny. After what Andy did to Digi's father. Digi's parents refused, but Digi determination to help reiny, on second thought. Digi's parents agreed about it.

 

 Before surgery Digi spoke to Andy."What do you want from me?" Andy Ask seriously.

"I just want you to accept me again, if you already do not want friendly as ever with me, I could receive, but please can we be good friends." Digi pleaded.

"It's just your request!" Andy asked.

 "One more, I want to work in your father's office, I beg of you, I do not know, how to help my parents." he pleaded again to Andy.

"Dig sorry, no job anymore, except the office boy," Andy explained."It's okay, I want to work anything." Digi said,

"Okay." Andy Answer

Digi and Reiny into the operating room, Andy hope of salvation for both the person he loved, andy trying to fight his vengeful attitude. Three hours had passed. The operation is complete and fluent. Both have passed the critical period, they were brought back to the room-patient. After an hour Reiny became conscious again, this makes Andy's family’s happy, And Digi has not regained consciousness. andy tried not to give Digi any sympathy. He sure Digi would be aware, Andy's perent had visited Digi in there.

Three months after the operation, Andy kept his promise. Digi got a job, Digi was happy to work at the office who always he regarded as friend, Andy still became cool to Digi, but it was never made Digi distance from Andy, he always wanted to be near to Andy.

 "This coffee boss," Digi said to Andy, he was putting a cup of hot coffee on Andy's desk.

"Thanks." Andy said

"If you need anything just call." Digi said.

"Yes" Andy repaid.

Then Digi closed the door, he returned to work in the pantry. But today, it felt strange. Stomach near of abdomen was so painful. He tried to stay strong and fight the pain, but his illness was getting serious. Until he dropped the cup that he wanted wash. Hearing the commotion in the kitchen several employees approached him and help him.

"Dig, are you okey!!!!" The one employee asked.

"It's okay." Digi said slowly.

This is often the case, Digi had fainted and he was taken to the hospital, Andy knew it would just stay quiet and did not want to know will not hurt in the suffering Digi.

Three weeks later, Digi is coming to Andy office, He is working as office boy usually, Digi have not seen a week.  Andy immediately called him into the room.

"Why do not you come to work?" Andy said. "Nothing boss." Digi said.

 "Dig, I'm sorry I fired you." Andy said. His time Andy spoke very softly, whatever Andy wanted.

 Digi accepted it and walked away without saying goodbye. Digi was crying, he did not know what else to do. Andy was silence in his room and he was in a half of weariness torn.

 Digi back to home, he did not want to look sad in front of his parents and brother. He didn't tell about his illness. Digi's parents had store provided by Andy's parents, because Digi donated his kidney for Reiny. Digi loves his parents and three brothers so much. Digi hoped don't be sad again.

Andy came late to the office, because last night he thought that had happened. He went straight to his office, suddenly, his secretary gave the book diary, Lucy's diary which is deposited by Tasya. She was friend in senior high school. He was reading the diary and he was crying. He could not continue to read, but he tried to stay strong. This diary was open his eyes and aware from hat and grudge. Digi was friend who had his persecution, who had destroyed his life. Digi was an angle-heart. Digi is always trying to keep his heart, he never let him hurt, and he wanted his true love left him, although it was only for his friend. Andy is regretted so much. He realized that tears could not atone for his sins against the Digi.

 The next day, Andy went to the Digi's house, he didn't come, since he hates the Digi He's not going to come here. He knocked on the door, but the house was quiet as unoccupied. Then, Andy asked to its Digi's neighbor. The neighbor told that the Digi family had moved to the village.

"You know where they moved to the area?" Andy asked to neighbor.

The suddenly "Why do you ask me about that, did not you just want to meet with the Digi" Dani said. Not unexpectedly Andy, Dani stood behind him.

"Dani ..." Andy surprised.

"Why only now you're here!!" Dani said.

"I'm sorry too bad, I want to apologize for Digi, I want friendly relations with him tied me again, like it used too. I was sorry." Andy said.

"But this was over. He will not be with you again." Dani said.

 "What do you mean!! What he hates me now, it's okay and I received it, I would accept any treatment from him, please do not make my way to see him, I miss him. "Andy said

 "I will not forbid you meet your friend, he was friend indeed genuine. Unfortunately you could not keep it." Dani answered.

"What do you mean? I do not understand all the talk you."Andy asked.

 " You  know, Digi suffering from kidney failure, kidney was the only live one, because he gave to your sister, it turned out that only one kidney was not functioning properly, he should always wash the blood, he has been hiding his illness, his parents did not tell him. until finally ... " Dani said,

"Oh my God ... why can this be, what I am doing with my best friend, I had killed him." Andy said he regretted. Andy cries was unbearable.

 "Ndy be patience, that all you are not completely wrong. We must be sincere. "Dani said, patting his shoulder Andy.

"We must be Sincere!! What do you mean? What happened with him? Can you tell me?" Andy lambasted. "You must be strong, Digi could not be saved, he was too severe." Dani said, Dani was not able to restrain his tears.

"Digi was dead, he goes after Lucy," Dani added to continue the sentence that was interrupted. Like a hurricane that hit him, Andy was able to balance the body, Andy could not afford to hear it, and he fell unconscious. Birds chirping in the morning, lots of flowers blooming jasmine fallen to the ground scent adds to weak souls who breathe it, it’s like the sky in the evening. This is so heart wrenching. Andy sat there  weak like have not power again, He lay on the tomb inscribed the name "DIGI BRAMANTIO" right next to the tomb of "LUCY", Andy tears continued to flow like an endless, not to measure him sorrow and regret that so large. There was a faint whisper of his right ear gently to make his awake and crying again, whisper it makes his feel calm, but his inner feel knife cut. "You're still my best friend forever," the voice.
